Protecting the community is our number 1 goal
Criminals convicted of most serious crimes are sentenced by the court to state prison. By law, once their sentences are complete, they are released into post-prison supervision. The programs of Richland County Court Services then monitor and track their activities.

The Community Policing Probation/Parole Partnership has been organized to supervise and work with ex-offenders to ensure that they reintegrate with society. Parole and probation officers have the authority to send an offender back to jail if any aspect of their supervision agreement is violated.

By working with the ex-offenders, we will empower them to change their behavior and contribute to society.

Our aim is to give them hope.
Hope inspires change.
Change protects the community.
And protecting the community is our #1 goal.
